This NVQ qualification is aimed at workers who need recognition for their prior knowledge, experience and competence as a Tiler. Due to the fact that the NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Wall and Floor tiling is a competence-type qualification, it instantly certifies that the tiler has the skills and knowledge that are up to the national standard. By having this qualification, you can use it to gain jobs, or to work towards a higher qualification. The main objectives of this NVQ qualification are to help learners understand the workplace, certify their knowledge in the field and provide access to a related card scheme.
OSAT (On-Site Assessment & Training)
Your assessor will visit you between 2-4 times (in general) to collect evidence relating to the qualification you’re doing. Using methods such as Observation (watching) and Questioning/Discussion they will collect what’s needed to prove your competence at your trade.
A third party reference (Witness Testimony)can be used as another source of evidence stating the work you do on site and that you are capable of working safely.
Videos and recorded discussions are sometimes used as they are a good way of collecting substantial evidence in both practical ability and level of understanding.
Your assessor will work with you to plan the assessments and methods used according to the individual.
Our job at QMB Consulting is to carry out the initial assessment to ensure that learners are on the right path towards becoming better professionals, and are properly guided in doing so. Our goal is to help the learners have a pleasant experience, while also keeping in touch with the stakeholders in the process with the learners’ milestones and progress. We offer full support along the process. In order for this to happen, learners must complete all 6 (six) mandatory units from the Mandatory Units Group and Pathway I – Site Job Group, thus achieving a minimum total of 41 QCF Credits.
